Application/Software Architect – Microsoft SQL – Level 3

Activities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides support for the analysis, design, estimating, development, documentation, testing and implementation of new or existing systems.
• Develop solutions to complex software design issues during the product development cycle, keeping in mind scope limitations and the impact of other integrated products.
• Design and/or develop specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting of data.
• Design, code, test and debug custom queries using SQL Reporting Services.
• Develop quality code that meets project & departmental standards.
• Diagnose and address operational data requests.
• Develop automated database maintenance utilities
• Improve current views, tables, database architecture for better performance
• Provide technical expertise for ongoing projects and operational work to technical lead
• Implementation of upgrade from one version of SQL to another
• Write SQL scripts, procedures, functions
• Collaborate with system architects and software architects
• Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring.
• Design databases for business solutions that are scalable, secure, compliant, and reliable.
• Perform issue and incident resolutions as required.
• Work with IT Security on the Vulnerability Assessment and Threat and Risk Assessment
• Provide knowledge transfer to support team in IMTD.
• Provide ongoing support to IMTD support team.
