Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Executive is accountable for successfully marketing and profitably selling all services provided by IT/Net into a designated territory. He/she has responsibility to reach, annually set, revenue and margin targets. He/she is responsible for account planning, new and current business development, assisting with proposal management, account management and sales administration.
Major Responsibilities:
• Generation of revenue and profit. This includes activities such as prospecting for new business (cold calls, meetings), working with internal resources to identify opportunities, informing the Proposal Response Team (PRT) of pro-active resourcing opportunities, gathering market intelligence, promoting IT/NET through sales campaigns, understanding client procurement processes, identifying and working with business partners, pre-selling solutions and closing sales.
• Client relationship management. This includes developing and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, consultants and external sub-contractors, attending networking events, updating and maintaining a client contact database, monitoring client satisfaction on an on-going basis and developing relationships with procurements officials.
• Account Planning. This includes performing environmental scans, developing resource trends, account plans and strategies, devising marketing and sales campaigns, auditing account collateral and working with internal resources to develop account strategies.
• Assist with the financial aspects of the proposal process. This includes disseminating information to PRT regarding current and future requirements, confirming bid/ no-bid decisions, and confirming business partners. Involves active participation in developing the proposal strategy, including the financial proposal and approving the final proposal document. This includes identifying winning themes, attendance at meetings, competitive analysis, developing prices and costing sheets, client budget identification, setting and checking parameters on sub-contractor costs and delivery of the proposal to the client.
• Perform sales administration duties. This includes monitoring and updating the monthly sales forecast, maintaining an IT/NET opportunity log, updating internal systems with required information (CRM), contract management administration, and participating in sales and Proposal Response Team (PRT) meetings as required.
• Collaborate with internal IT/NET personnel to foster an environment of team work, information sharing and continuous improvement. This includes the dissemination of information to colleagues within IT/NET for the purposes of providing the best possible services to the IT/NET/ KPMG client base, respecting, recognizing and leveraging individual talents and contributions, professionally approaching all situations within the IT/NET workplace and participating on internal working groups (as appropriate) for the advancement of the organization.
Education:
A university degree or college diploma in business administration, sales and marketing, IT or a related field is considered an asset.
Additional professional development in account management, sales, negotiation, IT and computer solutions systems may be required.
Experience
A minimum of 5-7 years in a similar sales or industry position
Experience in sales required.
