IT/NET is looking for experienced certified SAP consultants in the Finance and HR areas, with knowledge of v.4.7 and ECC 6.0 (desirable). We would be interested in speaking with you about several of our long-term, awarded contract opportunities in the public sector for client SAP implementations, maintenance and upgrades.

IT/NET now has the largest SAP practice and strongest expertise in post-implementation care of ERP systems in the National Capital Region. Our expertise is both in technical – ABAP and Basis – and functional areas, covering the full scope of modules in R/3 and mySAP.com, including CRM and Portals. IT/NET consultants are formally trained by SAP, and have had direct experience with government and private sector implementations in a wide variety of accounts.

A Programmer Analyst must have good analytic skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with other technical and functional personnel. Must be knowledgeable in the full systems development life cycle and have solid experience in analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of computer applications. Must have extensive knowledge of the SAP application, its functionality and complete tool set. Must have experience with creating / maintaining/ reviewing technical documentation. Must have knowledge of testing principles and practices. Must be able to work both independently and within a team framework. Must be able to supervise other team members or lead a team of experienced resources. Must be able to prepare status reports for senior management. Must be able to track progress against agreed on schedule and flag situations where timelines will not be met and provide alternatives to bring tasks back on track.

Job responsibilities include:
• Review and analyse change requests and/or new requirements;
• Propose various cost-effective approaches and solutions to satisfy requirements;
• Develop prototypes;
• Design, develop and unit test enhancements to application functionality;
• Assist in the testing processes;
• Identify source/cause of malfunctions, design solutions to the malfunction, develop and test the solution and document resolutions;
• Develop standards;
• Design and document conversion strategies;
• Develop and maintain programs such data conversion and compare programs;
• Work with the project manager to develop, estimate and manage the technical aspects of the project plan;
• Ensure deliverables are complete, produced to schedule and budget and meet the quality specified;
• Develop conversion routines for legacy data to be loaded into SAP tables;
• Participate in SAP implementations and/or upgrades and data conversion;
• Use ABAP/4 tools set to implement changes and correct problems;
• Provide recommendations to senior management on technical issues;
• Work with functional team members to understand requirements and define best solution;
• Monitor progress against the plan and report to the project manager.
